Michael Garcar

Mike Garcar serves as outside general counsel to a broad range of forprofit companies and taxexempt organizations, with a focus on nonprofit and political law. His forprofit practice includes advising LLCs, public benefit corporations, and corporations on formation, fundraising, corporate governance, commercial contracts, and employment matters. On the nonprofit side, he counsels 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), and 501(c)(6) entities on organizational structuring and taxexempt recognition, board governance, vendor and consulting agreements, lobbying and politicalactivity compliance, and required IRS and state filings. Mike graduated cum laude from the University of Akron School of Law and holds undergraduate degrees from Walsh University.
